Existing clients include global licensing agency Merlin, industry think tank MusicTank, [PIAS] Entertainment Group, the Association of Independent Festivals, the International Music Summit in Ibiza, and leading merchandiser Firebrand Live, alongside a growing portfolio of club nights and live promoters. Applicants should possess flair and fluency in written English, and a confident spoken manner. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a clear knowledge of and interest in music business issues and a passion for music. Attention to detail, reliability, enthusiasm and creative flair are also essential. This role would be ideal for a university leaver looking to take their first steps in pr, or someone with up to 2 years’ experience in pr, music business or both, looking to progress their career. The post is offered full time, although we may consider alternative arrangements. The ideal candidate will be a capable, enthusiastic student or recent graduate looking for a hands-on introduction to pr and the music industry. Candidates should be energetic, conscientious, reliable and easy-going, and take pride in their attention to detail. Name’s relatively small size and open-minded approach make this a unique opportunity. The successful candidate will be required to involve themselves in all aspects of the business, guaranteeing not only a varied workload but also an unbeatable introduction to the multi-faceted workings of a dynamic PR agency. The internship will begin in March 2009. We are looking for applicants who can commit 2–3 days per week for at least 3 months.
